Mission and Objectives

 

The mission of the Joint genome center (JGC) between SU and SAA is increasing the competitiveness of the Bulgarian bio-economy through the creation of a modern high-tech center.


It will provide the Bulgarian universities, academic and research units of small and medium enterprises access to modern equipment, patents, know-how, using a multidisciplinary approach, advanced experimental methods, and professionals to develop sustainable, high-cost and competitive agricultural bioproducts, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, energy and forestry industries, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
